Medical Ethics in Israel
ithamar2019-04-21T07:53:30+00:00The Book "Medical Ethics in Israel", co edited with my father Prof. Emanuel Theodor was published in 2012 by the Israeli Medical Association. It contains 48 chapters by leading doctors and theorists of medical ethics. My interest in Ethics in general, and Medical Ethics in particular, springs from my desire to develop "Applied Asian Ethics". This is an entirely new field and I see much potential there, although there is much work to be done. ithamar2019-04-17T20:17:47+00:00I have been a Visiting Professor at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and in that capacity held the Professorship in Indian Religion and Culture at the Department for Cultural and Religious Studies (2009-2013). In that capacity I was invited to join the Sanzi Institue in Beijing as a Research Fellow and my host at the Institute, Mr. Xu Da-si has translated Exploring the Bhagavad gita from English to Chinese, has purchased the rights from the publisher and has published this edition in Beijing (2013). 5,000 copies were published and apparently were sold within a few months. The Bhagavad gita in Hebrew
ithamar2019-04-17T20:20:45+00:00This edition was published in Hebrew by Carmel Publishers, Jerusalem, 2002. It was supported by a government fund furthering the publication of world Classics in Hebrew. The cover image is that of a South Indian Murti of four armed Krsna playing a flute, exhibited at the Wilfrid Israel Museum for Asian art. The Murti (image) has been contributed to the Museum in the early 1940's, and is said to be about 800 years old. This edition has sold thousands of copies and is popular in both academic institutions as well as among yoga practitioners and general readership. [...]
